The Sony Foundation Australia (SFA) was established in 1999 by Stenmark and the Sony group of companies and since then has raised in excess of $10 million for the youth of Australia. Stenmark Organisation conceived, managed and administered all activities of the Sony Foundation Australia from 1999 to 2007.
One key feature of the SFA was the creation and development of the SFA Children’s Holiday Camps. During school holidays, senior students from 20 major secondary boarding schools all around Australia host groups of developmentally delayed children for a long weekend.
These kids thoroughly enjoy a few days of fun activities; the student carers donate their time and gain experience in the value of serving others; and the parents of the disabled children appreciate a much needed break.
